Caribbean OT Association Conference

AHE-HAOT will be participating in the biennial scientific conference of the Association of the Caribbean Occupational Therapy, ACOT, on Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, 2019.  Ashley Kahila, representative of AHE-HAOT, will attend the ACOT conference held in Bridgetown, Barbados. ACOT is a regional association within the World Federation of OT (WFOT.org).  ACOT has a 25-year history of communication and professional activities within the Caribbean region.  Five island nations’ OT Associations belong to ACOT OT-Barbados, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Haiti.

The theme of ACOT this year is “Adding Innovation and Creativity to Function”.  This is the 14th professional conference organized by ACOT.  There is a pre-conference volunteer service event on Oct. 30, followed by three days of presentations. AHE-HAOT is proud and eager to present to ACOT the developments that have been happening in the Haitian OT profession!
